Well yesterday was not as productive as Saturday as I had a pounding headache for most of the day. I did however manage to complete another challenge for the Twilight Addicts CC woohoo! This challenge was a second set by Gemma. This time she asked us to use something we had brought because it was pretty but then didnt have a clue how to use it, to use more than one photo, & to use old stash. This was the layout I produced
I had brought this MME shaped paper in a sale last year when I was going through a phase of buying shaped papers. Since then it has sat neglected in my paper folder as I didnt know what kind of layout it would be ideal for, but I thought these photos of a little Shell room in Port Meirion needed something beachy to sit with them so out it finally came. I'll be honest I'm not too sure if it works but I'm pleased the paper finally has a use! All the papers again came from my scraps bag, & the lettered stickers are Fancy Pants stickers I have used alot hence the reason why I've used alot of capitals!

Twilight Addicts CC: First two challenges
After a slow start mixed with mild panic over what I was going to do, I managed to complete two challenges yesterday. This is probably the first time I've done more than one layout in a day since the retreat in March!
The first challenge I did was set by Gemma. She asked us to include something round, some tearing and some glitter/bling. This is the layout I made:
I punched some circles out using a Martha Stewart pinked circles punch, distressed the papers on the photo mount, and added a little bit of bling between the circles, in the top corner and used glittered Thickers. The papers are from a Gotta craft kit and are Carta Bella. I have to admit that when I saw them I wasn't sure if I'd use them as while they are beautiful they are not a style of papers I would go out and buy but I was pleased with how they worked together for this layout.
The second challenge I finished yesterday was set by Karen. She asked is to scraplift this layout by our fellow Twilighter Carin
To use either bold or muted colours, to use only patterned paper, & to include stitching. This was the layout I made:
I went for the bold colour option to scrap these photos of mine & Ian's different wellies (it was a little joke that he looked like a farmer in his jeans and green wellies, while I looked as though I was going to a festival in my purple jeans and flowery wellies!) I used only patterned paper, with the exception of the twine and the lettered stickers. All the papers are ones I've had hanging around for ages, obviously I had to use the American Crafts wellie paper. The strips are from my scraps bag and the base paper is the reverse side of a cute Kaiser Craft paper with little birdies on, I was saving this for just the right project, whenever that may have been, but on the reverse the purple was just the perfect colour!

Twilight Addicts CC: My challenge Specs Appeal
This weekend a few of the Twilight Addicts are having their own cyber crop. I've never taken part in a cyber crop before as I've usually been working so I cant meet the challenge deadlines, but luckily enough I'm off this weekend and as we're a nice bunch of lasses we've set the deadline for a weeks time! We're all taking turns setting a challenge, for my challenge I took inspiration from ATDML who sometimes set a challenge where you have to select 3 elements from the table but you can only have 1 element in each row and column
From the list I chose to use more than 1 photo, use at least 2 different alphas & used 3 different papers. The papers are MME Nostalgia which cam with a Gottacraft Kit and I love them, it was a shame to cut the up lol! The small alphas are Authentique and the large American Crafts thickers

10 things on the 10th
I've seen a few bloggers join in with this so I thought I would give it a go. Basically on the 10th of every month you make a list of 10 things of your choice and share with everybody else. As this is my first 10 things I thought I would start with a 10 random things about me!
1- Basic info: My full name is Jessie Michelle Grey and I was born the 16th June 1981. I live with my partner of 6 years Ian and our pooch Buster
2- I live in the small market town Stamford in Lincolnshire. We are in the far bottom corner of Lincolnshire, if you head out of town in one direction you find yourself in Rutland, another lands your in Cambridgeshire, another in Northamptonshire!
3- Ian and I originally went out with each other briefly at school. Years later I became friends with his sister Jo who set us up and the rest they say is history!
4- I'm a huge Bon Jovi and have been fortunate to have seen them 5 times!
5- We have 2 little friends who always comes away with us on our travels. Vernon the turtle and Roger the monkey always sneak into our bags when we go away whether it be on holiday, on scrapbooking retreats or even in our rucksacks when we walked Snowdon!
6- I've recently become a Zumba nut! I started going to Zumba classes last year and instantly became hooked! Since then I have taken part in two Zumbathons for charity (the first was 2 hours, the most recent was 3 hours on the one weekend this summer we actually had warm weather!)
7- I love Snoopy! If Snoopy is on it then I have to have it! I have a complete collection of McDonalds Happy Meal toys (mostly brought from carboots or Ebay you'll be pleased to know!) & I also still have my original Snoopy I stole from my mum when I was 2 years old!
8- I currently drive a Nissan Micra called Susie Suu due to her number plate although I am trying to save for my dream car a Betty the Beetle.
9- I love pink & stars. I work in a baby & childrenswear shop and its a little joke that if I'm involved with the buying and an item is pink or has stars on or is pink with stars then I'll choose it!
10- I'm not ashamed to say it but I am a Twihard! I read Twilight just as the film was released and I was hooked, although I've always been a slight vampire girl whether it was watching Interview with a Vampire with my mum when I was 13 or watching Buffy and Angel later on. Thanks to this slight obsession and through scrapbooking I've met a fab group of ladies on UKS and next year we will be having our third annual retreat
So those are a few random anecdotes about me, hopefully I haven't bored anyone! I'll get thinking about next months list x

Jubilee
Pinch, punch for the 1st of the month! Another month has flown by, probably by all the wind we've been having, which means its time for the Sketchy Scrappers layouts to be unveiled. This month yours truly set the sketch and I chose this one from Creative Scrappers.
Like many people at the beginning of the month we had a little garden party to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. This has also meant that there are lots of Union Jack/ British inspired stash around at the moment, and the last issue of Docrafts magazine came with a selection of Papermania Portabello Road papers. So I put them to good use by creating this layout
All the papers are from the Portabello Road range and the scalloped circle was made by sticking two of the semi circles from the die cut paper pack together. I then added some Air Mail bakers twine from Sarah's Cards and some red, white & blue flowers from a pack brought ages ago from Hobbycraft, one of those impulse buys which then never gets used! The letter stickers are from an old Quirky Kit, I think they might be Echo Park?
I'm very pleased with the outcome and how everything coordinates just nicely. Luckily the layout came together quite quickly as we were going away the last week in June, we just came home yesterday, from a wet week in Wales. I'm sure pictures might follow soon! xx
