Big Buddha

Blimey this must be a blogging record for me, 3 blog posts in 4 days! Cue a long dry spell of no blogging! Anyway its the first of the month so time for another Sketchy Scrappers reveal. This months sketch was set by the lovely Julia who chose this Page Maps sketch
This sketch is ideal for any Instagram photos but as I no longer have my Iphone (oh how I miss it) I adapted it to scrap a regular 6x4 photo.
This photo was taken during our recent visit to Port Meirion the quirky Italian style village which has a random Eastern Buddha! This layout also heralded my first attempt using mists eek! I've admired this technique for a while but have been to scared to try it (I'm a wuss I know) but I'm pleased with the results even though Ian says it looks like bird poop! The papers are Lily Bee with a journaling card cut from a sheet of Echo Park. I used my all time favourite Poolside Thickers from American Crafts, luckily ATDML had an offer on Thickers last week so I managed to get stocked up! The smaller letters are Authentique. I then finished the layout by scattering some gold sequins which came with the last Quirky Kit.
