Who's That?

I'm quite pleased with myself as I've managed to do two layouts this week. One is for Sketchy Scrappers so you'll have to wait until the end of the month, sorry I like to tease! The second is this one made with this months Gotta Craft kit which I've just started subbing to.
This months kit uses some lovely Lily Bee papers which I've never used before but will be again. The colours and patterns are lush and they are a nice heavy weight. The photo is of Buster keeping watch as a car pulled up outside. The photo lifts to show a second photo underneath capturing the moment he realised he was being watched

Sand Heart

Another month has flown by, can you believe its May already! Not that it feels like it, with all the rain it feels more like March! Anyway its Sketchy Scrappers time again. This months sketch was set by Karen and spookily was one I had on my shortlist for last month!
This is my interpretation of the it...
The photos are from our girlie day to Wells last year. You cant go to the seaside and not build a sandcastle but of course us being us we didnt have a normal bucket so built a sand heart instead! I'm not entirely happy with the layout as I started it one weekend, then was ill and came back to it but its growing on me. The papers are either from my scraps bag or sheets I've had for AGES so some stash busting has been accomplished! The embellishment in the corner didnt come out as I had imagined but its not bad...
Hopefully now the bugs have gone I'll be motivated to scrap some more especially as I've just subbed to the monthly kit from Gotta Craft!

Same concept different name

Its that time of the month again...but now its called Sketchy Scrappers. The concept is the same, a sketch is set and we have a month to complete a layout based on it, but the name has changed. This months sketch was set by yours truly. I found this sketch by Beggahuna on Pinterest. Thank god for Pinterest I had a choice of 3 sketches and ended up going ip, dip, dog... well you get the idea :-)
This is the layout I created
The photo is of Vern & Roger during their recent trip with the Twilight Addicts to Meadow Barn. Even though the sketch shows smaller photos under the main I knew I wouldnt do that as I'm not a fan of multiphoto layouts, so instead I used 3 American Crafts Flair badges adhered to squares punched using my brand new SU postage stamp punch which I love! Thanks Tara xx
The papers are American Crafts (isnt the furry animal paper great! Thanks Gemma xx), K & Company and My Minds Eye. I cant wait to see what the other Sketchy Scrappers come up with xx

Meadow Barn Layouts

This time last week I was in a gorgeous converted barn in Herefordshire for the second annual Twilight Addicts weekend away. We had lots of laughs and lots of yummy cake & fajitas, and managed to do lots of scrapping. I completed 4 layouts beating the 3 I did last year! I managed to use most of my Quirky Kit Lite which I was chuffed with. One layout was for the weekly on UKS but I wont show it here as it is a photo of my friends gorgeous little girls. But these were the others I did:

Puppy Dog eyes: Buster looking adorable as ever with his little cuddly friend who he sleeps with.
The Driftwood Hunter: photo is of my SIL looking for driftwood to take home when we went to Wells. I was quite chuffed with this layout as it is quite minimal which is not my usual style.
On the Beach: this is another layout from Wells of just a couple of shots I took on the beach

Beach Huts at Wells

Well its finally March and spring is finally here, it is gorgeous outside! Today is reveal day for Sketch & Scrap. This months sketch was chosen by Ali.
Usually multiple photo sketches like this scare me, mainly because I dont tend to have lots of photos of a particular event, etc to create a LO of! Luckily though I took loads of photos back in the summer when I went to Wells of the lovely beach huts which were perfect for this
I knew I had to use the My Little Shoebox bunting paper as the first thing I think about when I think of beach huts is bunting! The striped paper is American Crafts.

Its the second Twilight Addicts retreat this weekend so I'll hopefully be able to fill you in on all the goings on next week! xx

Twilight Addicts Weekly Challenge

This week on UKS it is the turn of the Twilight Addicts to set the weekly challenge. For the first 10 points we asked people to use this sketch
10 points would also be given for using a group of photos, and the last 10 points would be given for drawing inspiration from a favourite book. This is my example LO
I drew inspiration from the Shopaholic Series of books by Sophie Kinsella which I LOVE! In these Becky Bloomwood loves the finer,  more expensive things in life. I also like these but I'm more restrained with my spending, mainly cos we have no money, but I was lucky enough to receive some Chanel Perfume for Christmas from Ian (after much nagging lol). The journalling is a Coco Chanel quote: "A woman should be two things classy & fabulous".

Where did January go?

Where did January go? Seriously looks as though I becoming a once a month blogger which is not good, must try harder! After New Year I got full time hours again as my boss is on maternity leave, baby Sofia was born on New Years Day so work has been hectic meaning when I get home I cant really be bothered to do alot! On the plus side it also means I'm invited to go to the trade shows with them, I went to my first one on Sunday and even though it was a busy day it was fun buying stock for Autumn/Winter 2012 (mad I know)
Anyway back to business! As it is February 1st it means the big Sketch & Scrap reveal...oohhh!! This months sketch was chosen by the lovely Heather
I always say its not offically Christmas until the famous Coca Cola advert with the trucks is on the telly, only then can I get stupidly excited! Imagine how the big kid in me felt when one of the trucks took a detour via Morrison's before Christmas! Needless to say I had to take some photos for a future LO....

I'm going to another show on Sunday, but I promise I have managed to do some more scrapping for an up and coming challenge on UKS, all will be revealed soon! x
